Logo Design

Here are some examples of our work

Branding = who chooses you for therapy & why

Your brand includes your business name, logo, & design elements that identify your services as different from other companies. Reaching your ideal audience is paramount. I choose colors, shapes, fonts, and images that will synthesizes marketing & psychology and speak to your niche.

I have training in both design & psychology. I have a BFA and MFA from Otis College of Art & Design + an MA from Antioch University. I have taught design & color theory at the world-renowned Savannah College of Art & Design, so you’re in good hands!

Logos are $350

This amount must be paid prior to commencement of design work & is non-refundable

My Process of Logo Design:

Round One:

  • I send several variations of your chosen icon & font

  • I incorporate any feedback

  • You select your final logo from this group

  • If there are more revisions, like if you change your mind on icon, there will be an additional charge

Example: this client wanted a blue heeler instead of a laborador and the font from the ginkgo leaf design, which in Round 2 I spaced in a variety of ways, with and without CAPS.

Final:

  • I send you a variety of file types:

    • different sizes

    • horizontal and vertical orientations

    • color variations: black, white, full color, single color

  • I will send you 5 ideas with a range of styles

  • You select one image you like so I can give you a few more options

  • Give me feedback to incorporate into the 2nd round

  • Fonts & images are “Mix & Match”. If you like one icon and a different font, that’s totally fine

Round Two:

Designing a logo collaboratively:

People reach out to me about designing a logo for them because they like what they see in my portfolio. However, I think it’s important for me to mention that some of the logos are for made up companies so I could show my aesthetic. And some of the logos you see in my portfolio aren’t necessarily the logo the client chose for their own business.

Here is one example:

What I showcase:

What the client chose:

Furthermore, sometimes people come to me with existing ideas of what they want. If it had been entirely up to me as a designer, I might not have chosen to take their brand in that direction at all.

I’m as happy to work with people who have no idea what they want as I am when I work with people who come with an idea already in mind.

That said, sometimes people realize they had ideas in mind later- only because of the design process. If we have to go back to the drawing board, just know that this is part of the process of coming closer and closer to understanding what you want and that several iterations could be necessary.

Some things that might help us get there quicker:

Pick one font you like
or “Font Family”

Pick an icon you want to represent your brand.

Pinterest can be a good place to look for logos. Don’t just look at therapist logos. They’re usually so boring!

A head, hands, a path or a leaf are cliché, let’s get more creative! What about a moon, a phoenix, a crow?

If the name of your company is “smooth sailing”, it makes the most sense to brand yourself with something sailing-related. If it’s “Kirsten Redmond Psychotherapy”, pick something YOU like in the world- a peony, backpack,
